Most of us might be familiar with a situation where we have too many possessions, either big or small, but so little space to put them. It seems like we’ve spent so much money buying storage boxes that still cannot handle all the stuff. The more it’s organized, the more we find out we still have more stuff, which sucks. You need more storage, but refuse to buy new boxes. Thankfully, I have a solution for that — create your own storage basket! Is it complicated? No, it is not. Is it expensive? Of course not. If one, it might be cheaper and prettier than your bought storage boxes. They’re perfect both for extra storage, or simply a decoration. Keep on reading to see how it’s done.
All you need is a large (or small) plastic container which you don’t use anymore and your chosen ropes, scissors, hot gun glue, some decoration materials. To start, glue the rope’s one end to the container’s bottom and continue to swirl it around. Keep on swirling until the rope covers all the surface of the container. The glueing process should be constantly done during the swirling, and be generous with your glue so that the ropes stay still. After the container is covered entirely, it’s time to decorate. At this point, you can get creative. Use colorful thread between the ropes, or paint it in colors. Or, you can even let it be as it is — the basket looks just as pretty with or without decorations. So, that’s the simplest and best DIY basket for your perfect storage solution!
